Pink Scissors and Purple Eyes

Yuki adjusted her scissor earrings and smoothed her pink dress as she walked through Nakaibito village. The morning sun caught the glitter on her pink nails, making them sparkle like tiny stars. Her elaborate pink curls bounced with each step in her matching heels.

"Another busy day at the salon," she murmured, touching the scissor-shaped hairpins that held her curls perfectly in place.

The village buzzed with its usual magic. Flowers grew taller as children giggled nearby, and butterflies changed colors mid-flight. Yuki loved this enchanted place where her hairdressing skills mixed with her magical abilities.

As she approached her salon, she spotted her friends Maki and Yuko already setting up their stations. Their scissors gleamed in the sunlight streaming through the windows.

"Good morning!" Yuki called out, her purple eyes bright with excitement for the day ahead.

But something felt different today. The village seemed quieter than usual, and she noticed several parents whispering worriedly near the town square.

The Worried Whispers

Yuki pushed open the salon door and heard Maki and Yuko talking in hushed voices.

"Five boys!" Maki was saying, her brown hair swishing as she shook her head. "Their parents are so upset."

"What's happening?" Yuki asked, setting down her pink purse.

Yuko looked up from organizing her scissors. "Mrs. Tanaka came by earlier. She says Ren, Riku, Haruto, Kenji, and Hiroto haven't had haircuts in months. People keep mistaking them for girls."

"Their hair is so long and messy," Maki added. "The parents tried taking them to other salons, but the boys run away screaming."

Yuki's purple eyes widened. "Screaming?"

"They're terrified of scissors," Yuko explained. "Something about a bad experience. Mrs. Tanaka says their hands shake whenever they see cutting tools."

Just then, loud shouting erupted from the street. Through the window, Yuki saw five boys with wild, tangled hair being dragged toward their salon by frustrated parents.

"No! Please! We don't want haircuts!" one boy wailed.

The boys' heads were shaking so hard their long, greasy hair whipped around their faces. Their hands trembled as they spotted the salon's bright scissors sign.

"Oh my," Yuki whispered. "They're absolutely terrified."
