The Pink Salon Opens
Yuki adjusted her scissor-shaped hairpins and stepped into the bright pink salon. Her purple eyes sparkled as she looked around at the shiny chairs and mirrors that lined the walls. The smell of shampoo and hair products filled the air.
"Good morning, Yuki!" called Maki, waving her thinning shears in the air. Her blue hair bounced as she organized bottles on the counter.
"Ready for another day?" asked Yuko, testing her magical clippers. They hummed with a soft, musical sound.
Yuki nodded and picked up her special wand—shaped like golden scissors that gleamed in the sunlight streaming through the windows. "I wonder what kind of customers we'll have today."
Just then, the door chimed. But instead of customers walking in, angry voices echoed from outside.
"No! We won't go in there!"
"You can't make us!"
Yuki pressed her face against the window. Five boys were being dragged down the street by their frustrated parents, their long, messy hair covering their faces like curtains.
The Terrified Five
The front door burst open with a crash. Five boys tumbled inside, their parents pushing them forward with firm hands on their shoulders.
"Please help us," said the first mother, looking exhausted. "They haven't had haircuts in six months."
Yuki stared at the boys. Their hair hung past their shoulders in tangled, greasy strands. She could barely see their eyes underneath all that mess.
"I'm Ren," mumbled the tallest boy, his voice muffled by hair covering his mouth. "And no scissors are coming near me."
"Same here," said another boy with darker hair. "I'm Riku. Last time someone cut my hair, I looked like a poodle."
The third boy, Haruto, crossed his arms. "The barber nicked my ear with clippers. Never again."
Kenji, the smallest, peeked through his bangs. "They used thinning shears on me and made holes everywhere."
The last boy, Hiroto, shook his head so hard that his hair whipped around. "Razors are evil."
Yuki exchanged glances with Maki and Yuko. This wasn't going to be easy.
Suddenly, a small otter appeared from behind the counter, chittering softly.
