An Unexpected Morning Visitor

Caribou Red Riding Hood pressed her blue mask against the window of her penthouse bedroom. The morning sun painted Fairy Tale Metropolis in golden light below. Skyscrapers stretched toward the clouds, filled with humans, talking animals, and characters from every story imaginable.

She pulled her red hood over her antlers and stepped onto the balcony. The wind caught her flowing cape as she spread her arms wide.

"Perfect flying weather," she murmured, icy sparkles dancing around her fingertips.

A sharp knock echoed from downstairs. Red frowned. Nobody visited this early. She glided down through the lodge's spiral staircase, her hooves clicking on the marble floors.

Through the front door's glass panel, she spotted a figure in a bright yellow outfit. The visitor had wild, spiky hair and seemed to be arguing with someone on a phone.

"I don't care what the weather service says!" the stranger shouted. "I know a storm when I feel one coming!"

Red opened the door. "Can I help you?"

The visitor looked up with blazing orange eyes. "Finally! Someone's home. We need to talk."

Unexpected Alliance

The stranger stepped inside without waiting for an invitation. "I'm Lightning Flash," she announced, pulling off a bright yellow helmet. Her spiky blonde hair stuck up in all directions. "And you must be the famous Caribou Red Riding Hood."

Red's antlers tilted slightly. "Famous?"

"Weather controller, right? Ice blasts, wind manipulation?" Lightning Flash paced around the marble foyer, her orange eyes scanning the lodge. "We have a problem. A massive storm is building over the eastern districts. The weather service thinks it's just rain, but I can feel the electrical charge. This thing could level half the city."

Red frowned. "How do you know all this?"

"I control lightning and electricity. I can sense storms from miles away." Lightning Flash tapped her phone screen frantically. "Look at these readings!"

Red peered at the swirling weather patterns. Dark clouds spiraled ominously toward Fairy Tale Metropolis. "That does look serious."

"Serious? It's catastrophic! We need to stop it before it reaches downtown." Lightning Flash grabbed Red's arm. "But I can't do it alone. I need someone who can handle wind and water."

Red pulled back. "Wait, I work alone."
