The Empty House Discovery

Daphne pushed open the heavy wooden door and stepped into her parents' summer house. The familiar smell of sea salt and vanilla candles filled her nose. Dust particles danced in the afternoon sunlight streaming through tall windows.

"Finally!" she said, dropping her designer backpack on the marble floor. "Eight whole weeks without Mom and Dad hovering over me."

Her green eyes sparkled as she explored the quiet rooms. The house felt different when empty - bigger somehow, full of possibilities. She wandered through the spacious kitchen, her fancy green dress swishing against the cool tiles.

The pantry door stood slightly open, revealing shelves lined with colorful packages. Daphne's heart skipped. Her parents always stocked the summer house with the most amazing treats - imported chocolates, gourmet cookies, exotic candies from around the world.

She reached for a box of Belgian truffles, then grabbed some French macarons. Why limit herself? Her parents weren't here to count calories or lecture about balanced meals.

"This is going to be the best summer ever," Daphne whispered, arms full of delicious snacks.

The Morning Discovery

Daphne spent the entire afternoon munching through her treasure of treats. Belgian truffles melted on her tongue while French macarons crunched between her teeth. She tried exotic gummy bears from Japan, then moved on to Italian chocolate-filled cookies.

"Just one more box," she whispered, reaching for Swiss pralines as the sun began to set.

By evening, empty packages littered the marble countertop. Daphne's stomach felt wonderfully full as she climbed the spiral staircase to her bedroom. Her fancy green dress felt a bit snug around her waist, but she didn't mind.

She brushed her flowing auburn hair and slipped into silk pajamas before climbing into the enormous four-poster bed. The ocean waves sang her to sleep through the open window.

Morning sunlight streamed across Daphne's face, waking her gently. She stretched and yawned, then froze. Something felt very wrong.

Her arms looked puffy and round. She sat up quickly and gasped. Her entire body had swelled up like a giant balloon! Her legs were enormous, her torso completely round.

"What happened to me?" she squeaked, her voice higher than usual.
