Morning Observations
Snow White adjusted her silver belt and peered through the tall windows of Fortress 7. The futuristic building hummed softly around her, its sleek walls shaped like the number seven rising high above Fairy Tale Forest.
"Something's not right," she murmured, watching the forest below. Her blue hair caught the morning light as she turned to face her seven superhero friends gathered in the main room.
Atomic floated near the ceiling, his energy suit crackling with power. "What do you mean, Snow?"
"Look outside," she said, pointing toward the woods. "Yesterday I saw the three billy goats gruff crossing the bridge. Today, nothing. No mother goat with her kids either."
Techno's fingers danced over his holographic keyboard. "Running a scan of the forest perimeter now."
Ice created a small frost map in her palm, showing the usual patrol routes. "The gingerbread man should have passed by the cookie shop this morning. But he didn't."
Spider swung down from the ceiling, landing gracefully. "Maybe they're just sleeping in?"
"Or maybe something happened to them," Snow White said quietly.
Web spun a thin strand between her fingers, looking worried. "Should we investigate?"
Snow White nodded, her bright blue eyes determined. "Something's making fairy tale characters disappear. We need to find out what."
The Smart Woman's Warning
Snow White pushed open the heavy doors of Fortress 7. "Let's split up and search the forest. We'll cover more ground that way."
"Wait!" called a voice behind them.
They turned to see a woman with short dark hair running up the path. She wore jeans and sneakers, carrying a tablet computer in her hands.
"I'm Dr. Sarah Chen," she said, catching her breath. "I work at the Fairy Tale Research Station. You're looking for the missing characters, right?"
Techno stepped forward. "How did you know?"
"Because I've been tracking them too." Dr. Chen tapped her tablet screen. "Look at this data. Every disappearance happened during the same time period - between 2 and 4 AM. And there's something else."
She showed them a map with red dots. "They're not randomly vanishing. There's a pattern. Someone or something is taking them in a specific order."
Ice created a small frost crystal in her palm, studying the data. "This doesn't look natural."
"It's not," Dr. Chen said seriously. "Whoever is doing this knows fairy tale characters' habits perfectly. They know exactly where to find each one."
Snow White felt a chill run down her spine. This wasn't just mysterious disappearances anymore - someone was deliberately hunting fairy tale characters.
