Morning Blueprints

Ms. Crayon Cat stretched her orange and black striped arms as sunlight streamed through the tall windows of her fortress. The four crayon towers gleamed in the morning light, their colorful surfaces reflecting rainbows across Claw City below.

"Good morning, beautiful fortress," she said, padding across the polished floor on her white paws. Her blue mask felt snug and comfortable as she headed toward her private office.

She pushed open the heavy door and froze. Her desk drawers hung open like gaping mouths. Papers scattered across the floor like fallen leaves. Her computer screen flickered with an error message.

"What happened here?" she whispered, her whiskers twitching with concern.

She knelt down and gathered the scattered papers. Grocery lists, old birthday cards, sketches of new crayon designs. But something important was missing. Her fortress blueprints—the detailed plans showing every secret passage, every hidden room, every security system.

The blueprints were gone.

The Mysterious Call

Ms. Crayon Cat sat on her desk chair, staring at the empty spot where her blueprints should have been. Her whiskers drooped as she thought about all the secret passages and hidden rooms those plans revealed.

Her phone buzzed. A video call from someone she didn't recognize—a woman with short brown hair and sharp green eyes.

"Hello, Ms. Crayon Cat," the woman said with a sly smile. "I'm Dr. Marina Sketch. I believe you're missing something important."

The screen shifted to show her fortress blueprints spread across a metal table. Ms. Crayon Cat's heart sank.

"Those are mine!" she said, her tail swishing angrily.

"Not anymore. I'm selling these plans to the highest bidder in exactly twenty-four hours. Unless..." Dr. Sketch paused dramatically. "You come to the old Whiskers Laundromat on Fifth Street. Alone. We can make a deal."

The screen went black.

Ms. Crayon Cat jumped up, her paws clenched into fists. She summoned her giant blue crayon, its energy crackling around her fingers. Someone had stolen her most precious secrets, and now they wanted to sell them to criminals who could use them to break into her fortress.

She had to stop this.
