Long Hair Problems

Felix tugged at his blonde hair as it caught in his guitar strings again. The other members of The Buzz Kills groaned from across the garage.

"This is getting ridiculous," Vic said, pushing his blue hair out of his glasses. His braces caught the light as he frowned.

Nat ran fingers through black hair that now covered half his face. "I can barely see my drums."

Adam shrugged, his strawberry blonde locks tangled around his bass. "At least we look cool."

"Cool doesn't help when I can't play," Felix muttered, untangling another strand.

Mason and Nathan, the twins, sat in the corner. Their matching brown hair had grown so long it looked like curtains.

"We need haircuts," Vic admitted quietly.

The garage fell silent. Everyone knew what that meant. Miss Lolly's salon.

The Pink Hair Dilemma

Felix peeked around the corner at Miss Lolly's salon. Through the window, he spotted a girl with bright pink hair cutting someone's locks. Her outfit was covered in cute cartoon characters.

"That's her," he whispered to the band. "Miss Lolly."

Vic adjusted his glasses nervously. "Look at those clippers."

The silver tools gleamed on her counter like tiny swords. Felix's stomach twisted into knots.

Just then, four girls walked out of the salon, their hair perfectly styled. They were giggling and touching their new cuts.

"She's really good," Nat admitted quietly.

But Adam shook his head. "Those clippers still look scary."

Felix watched Miss Lolly clean the dreaded tools. His blonde hair tangled around his guitar strap again. They needed help, but those clippers made his hands shake.
