The Color Competition Chaos

Morning Preparations
Ms. Paintbrush Okapi stood at her bedroom window in Paintbrush Castle, watching the sunrise paint Wild New York's skyline in orange and pink. Her black and white striped legs caught the morning light as she adjusted her blue mask.
"Today's the day," she whispered, touching the purple cape draped over her shoulders.
The Color Competition poster lay on her wooden desk, announcing Wild New York's biggest art contest. She picked up her phone and scrolled through the registration photos. Giant marble sculptures gleamed in the sunlight. Massive bronze statues towered over park benches. Her heart sank a little.
She raised her hand and summoned her life-size paintbrush. It appeared with a soft shimmer, its wooden handle warm in her palm. The brush looked so small compared to those enormous sculptures.
"Maybe I should use something bigger," she murmured, staring at the paintbrush's delicate bristles.
The Basement Discovery
Ms. Paintbrush Okapi stepped away from her window and walked to the castle's main elevator. She pressed the button for the basement level.
"I need something bigger," she said to herself as the elevator descended.
The basement doors opened to reveal her father's old workshop. Dust covered everything. In the corner sat a massive laser sword, its silver handle gleaming even in the dim light.
She picked up the heavy weapon and pressed the activation button. A bright red beam shot out, humming with power.
"This should impress the judges," she whispered.
She swung the laser sword through the air. It felt clunky and wrong in her hands. The beam sliced through a wooden stool, cutting it perfectly in half.
Her phone buzzed. A text message appeared: "Registration closes in one hour. All competitors must submit their entry tool photo now."
Ms. Paintbrush Okapi looked at the laser sword, then at her small paintbrush still floating nearby. Her stomach twisted with worry.
