Morning Light in the Castle
Crayon Marker Cinderella stood on the highest balcony of her castle, watching the sun paint Art Studio Metropolis in golden hues. Her light blue cape fluttered in the morning breeze as she gripped her giant crayon and marker.
"Good morning, my beautiful city," she whispered, her glowing blue hair catching the sunlight.
Below, the bustling streets filled with humanoid farm animals heading to work. A group of single mother goats waved up at her from the marketplace. When they spotted her on the balcony, they immediately curtsied in unison. Kiss marks appeared on their cheeks as they giggled and blushed.
"Oh my," Cinderella laughed, adjusting her blue mask. "You lovely ladies never change."
Mrs. Woolsworth, a single mother sheep with curly white fleece, called out from below. "Princess Cinderella! Will you visit the art supply store today?"
Cinderella smiled and waved her red-gloved hand. She loved how her citizens filled every corner with creativity and joy. Everything seemed perfect in her colorful kingdom.
The Fading Store
Crayon Marker Cinderella leaped from her balcony, soaring down toward the marketplace. Her cape billowed behind her as she landed gracefully near Mrs. Woolsworth's wool stand.
"Princess! Perfect timing," Mrs. Woolsworth said, her curly white fleece bouncing as she spoke. "Something strange is happening at the art supply store."
Cinderella tilted her head. "Strange how?"
"The owner, Ms. Paintbrush, was working on some new invention yesterday. But this morning..." Mrs. Woolsworth pointed across the square. "Look."
Cinderella followed her gaze to the art supply store. The bright red door had faded to pale pink. The yellow window frames looked more like cream. Even the colorful paint cans displayed outside seemed washed out.
"That's odd," Cinderella murmured, gripping her giant crayon tighter.
Mrs. Woolsworth nodded nervously. "And it's not just the store. Mrs. Hedgehog's flower garden lost half its color overnight. The purple tulips are barely lavender now."
A shiver ran down Cinderella's spine. Colors disappearing? In Art Studio Metropolis, color wasn't just decoration—it was life itself.
