Ms Crayon Goat stretched her arms and yawned as sunlight streamed through the tall windows of her bedroom in Crayon Goat Castle. The walls around her were made entirely of giant crayons in every color imaginable - red, blue, yellow, green, purple, orange - all stacked like colorful logs to form the structure of her home.

"Good morning, beautiful castle," she said, adjusting her purple mask and smoothing her brown hair.

She walked to her window and looked out at Fairy Tale Kingdom's lush forest. Humanoid animals were already starting their day, tending to gardens and opening shops in the village below. A family of rabbit-people waved at her from their bakery.

"Time for my morning flight," Ms Crayon Goat announced to herself.

She stepped onto her balcony, spread her red cape wide, and launched herself into the bright blue sky. The wind felt perfect against her blue and black super suit as she soared over the treetops, ready for whatever adventure the day might bring.

The Gray Morning

As Ms Crayon Goat soared over the village, something felt wrong. The bright yellow sunflowers in Mrs. Hedgehog's garden looked pale. The red roses by the fountain seemed faded.

"That's odd," she muttered, landing near the rabbit-people's bakery.

The rabbit father stepped outside, his white fur now a dull gray. His wife followed, her brown ears completely colorless.

"Good morning, Ms Crayon Goat," the rabbit father said. "Have you noticed anything strange today?"

Ms Crayon Goat's heart sank. The bakery's cheerful orange awning had turned ash-colored. Even the golden loaves of bread in the window display looked like they were made of concrete.

"The colors are disappearing," she whispered.

The rabbit mother nodded sadly. "It started about an hour ago. Everything's turning gray, bit by bit."

Ms Crayon Goat looked at her own blue gloves. They were still vibrant, but for how long? She pulled out her smartphone and quickly searched "color disappearing fairy tale kingdom." No results.

This wasn't natural. Someone or something was draining the color from their world.
