Morning Preparations
Mega Crayon Doe stretched her arms wide as morning sunlight streamed through the tall windows of her mansion. The four crayon towers surrounding her home sparkled like colorful beacons across Artwork Forest City. She could see humanoid deer and humans already bustling about on the streets below.
"Today's the day!" she announced to her reflection, adjusting her grey mask. The Annual Art Contest would begin in just two hours, and she had been preparing her masterpiece for weeks.
Her giant blue crayon hummed softly in her hand as she practiced a few crayon blasts at the training targets. Blue streaks of magic paint splattered perfectly on each bullseye.
"Perfect aim as always," she said with satisfaction.
From her bedroom window, she spotted other contestants heading toward the city center with their easels and paint supplies. A young human girl with pigtails struggled to carry an enormous canvas twice her size.
Mega Crayon Doe grabbed her art supplies and headed for the door. This contest would be her biggest challenge yet.
The Missing Rainbow
Mega Crayon Doe bounded down the marble steps of her mansion and hurried toward the city center. The morning air buzzed with excitement as contestants set up their easels in Rainbow Square.
"Welcome, artists!" Mayor Brushbeak, a tall humanoid deer with silver antlers, announced through a megaphone. "You have three hours to create your masterpiece!"
Mega Crayon Doe found a perfect spot near the fountain and arranged her supplies. She noticed the young girl with pigtails struggling nearby.
"Need help?" Mega Crayon Doe offered, walking over.
"Thanks! I'm Lily," the girl said, breathing hard. "This canvas is huge!"
Together, they propped up Lily's enormous canvas. Mega Crayon Doe then returned to her own easel and began sketching a beautiful landscape with her magic crayon.
Suddenly, a gasp echoed through the square.
"My colors!" shouted an elderly human man. "They're gone!"
Mega Crayon Doe looked around. Other artists were staring at their palettes in shock. Bright reds, blues, and yellows were vanishing right before their eyes, leaving only gray smudges.
"Someone's stealing our paint!" Lily cried, pointing at her own fading canvas.
The contest had turned into chaos.
