Morning at the Tower

Atomic Crayon Doe stretched her arms wide as morning sunlight poured through the crystal windows of Atomic Crayon Tower. Her teal eyes sparkled as she looked out at Art Gallery Forest below, where deer, goats, and sheep walked to work alongside humans down colorful streets.

"Perfect day for patrol," she said, adjusting her blue-and-black supersuit. The atomic energy around the tower hummed softly, making her feel energized.

She grabbed her giant half-blue, half-teal magic crayon from its special holder on the wall. The moment her teal gloves touched it, the crayon glowed with power.

"Let's see what's happening in the forest today," Doe said, stepping onto her balcony. She activated her flight power and soared into the bright sky, her short tail flicking behind her.

Below, the forest looked magnificent as always – every tree, building, and pathway painted in brilliant colors. She smiled, unaware that somewhere in the shadows, someone was already planning to steal every beautiful hue from her world.

The Gray Surprise

Flying over the forest's edge, Atomic Crayon Doe spotted something wrong near Rainbow Creek. She landed beside a smart woman with short brown hair who was kneeling by the water.

"I'm Maria Santos, a scientist," the woman said, looking up with worried brown eyes. "I was collecting water samples when this happened." She pointed to the creek.

Doe gasped. Half the creek had turned completely gray, like someone had drained all the color from the water. Gray fish swam in colorless ripples.

"It started an hour ago," Maria explained, adjusting her white lab coat. "The gray spread upstream from that direction." She pointed toward the heart of Art Gallery Forest.

Doe activated her power sensing ability. Strange energy signatures pulsed from deep within the forest - not natural, but not entirely evil either. Something desperate and sad mixed with the power.

"We need to find the source," Doe said, gripping her magic crayon tighter.

Maria stood up, determination replacing her worry. "I'm coming with you. My equipment might help identify what's causing this."

Before Doe could argue, a flock of gray sparrows flew overhead, their natural colors completely drained.
