Morning Reflections

Mega Doodle Doe stretched her arms as morning sunlight streamed through the crayon-colored windows of her mansion. The yellow pencil walls gleamed, and marker-cap doorknobs caught the light like jewels.

"Another perfect day to protect Canvas Woodland Metropolis!" she announced to her reflection in the mirror. Her purple mask sat perfectly over her expressive dark eyes, and her blue-and-black supersuit looked crisp and ready for action.

She grabbed a blueberry muffin from the kitchen counter and stepped onto her front porch. The city sprawled below—a mix of humans and woodland creatures hurrying to work, couples walking hand-in-hand, children playing in parks.

Her phone buzzed. "Emergency downtown!" Chief Badger's voice crackled through the speaker. "Someone's causing trouble at the art supply store!"

Mega Doodle Doe's antlers perked up. "On my way!"

She launched into the sky, her cape streaming behind her. But as she soared over the city center, something odd caught her eye. Another figure in blue and black was already at the scene—someone who looked exactly like her.

Double Trouble

Mega Doodle Doe hovered in the air, staring at her exact double below. The other deer wore the same blue-and-black suit, the same purple mask, even had matching antlers.

"Hey!" she called down. "Who are you?"

The copy looked up with a mischievous grin. "I'm the real Mega Doodle Doe!" She grabbed a handful of paint tubes from the art store and hurled them at a nearby building. Splashes of red and yellow dripped down the brick walls.

"Stop that!" Mega Doodle Doe swooped down, but her duplicate was already running toward the music festival in Central Park.

At the festival stage, a koala in overalls was setting up speakers. Families of woodland creatures had spread blankets on the grass, and a hummingbird darted between the food trucks.

The fake Mega Doodle Doe leaped onto the stage. "Citizens! Your hero has gone bad!" She shot marker blasts at the crowd, staining picnic blankets and scaring children.

The real Mega Doodle Doe landed hard beside the stage. "That's not me!" she shouted, but panicked families were already running away.

The koala shoemaker dropped his tools and pointed at both deer. "Which one's real?"
