The Dolphin's Secret Cave

Sandy Surprises
Viviana kicked off her sneakers and wiggled her toes in the warm sand. The Delaware beach stretched out before her like a giant playground.
"Don't go too far!" Mom called from her beach chair, already pulling out her phone to take pictures.
Viviana grinned and skipped toward the rocky area where the waves made the most interesting sounds. She loved exploring, especially when grown-ups weren't watching every step.
The rocks created little pools filled with seaweed and tiny crabs. She crouched down, studying a hermit crab shuffling between shells.
"You're so small," she whispered to the crab.
A larger wave splashed nearby, and Viviana noticed something unusual. Behind the biggest rock, there seemed to be a gap—like a doorway made of stone. She stood up, brushing sand from her shorts, and took a step closer.
The Hidden Path
The gap was bigger than it looked. Viviana squeezed through the rocky opening and gasped. Instead of darkness, soft blue light filled a tunnel that curved down toward the ocean.
"Wow," she whispered.
Her sneakers splashed in shallow water as she followed the glowing path. The tunnel opened into a cave with the most beautiful pool she'd ever seen. The water sparkled like liquid diamonds.
A sleek gray head popped up from the pool. It was a dolphin, but smaller than the ones she'd seen in pictures.
"Hello, little human," the dolphin said in a voice like singing waves. "I'm Marina. We've been waiting for someone like you."
Viviana's mouth fell open. "You can talk?"
"The cave's magic lets us understand each other," Marina explained. "But we need your help. Our home is in terrible danger."
