Morning Patrol

The Crayon Knight adjusted his blue armor as he stepped onto the highest balcony of Crayon Castle. His rainbow crayon sword caught the morning sunlight, casting colorful streaks across the stone walls. Below him, the land of Creativia stretched out in all directions.

"Another beautiful day," he said to himself, watching the female gryphons soar through the clouds near the eastern mountains. Their golden feathers glinted as they performed their graceful morning dance.

The knight's bright green eyes scanned the valleys where female unicorns usually grazed. He could see their silver horns sparkling in the meadows. Near the western hills, female goats climbed the rocky slopes with their usual sure-footed confidence.

But something felt different today. The knight frowned, trying to figure out what seemed off about the peaceful scene.

"Sir Knight!" called a voice from below.

A female gryphon landed on the balcony beside him, her golden feathers ruffled with worry.

"What's wrong?" the Crayon Knight asked, noticing the gryphon's golden feathers trembling.

"Sir, all the female dragons have vanished!" she exclaimed. "Every single one disappeared during the night. No one saw them leave, no one heard anything!"

The knight's bright green eyes widened. "That's impossible. Where could they have gone?"

"That's not all," the gryphon continued, her voice shaking. "We found these strange rainbow footprints leading away from the dragon caves. They're unlike anything we've ever seen before."

The knight gripped his crayon sword tighter. Without the female dragons, the balance of Creativia would be completely disrupted. They were essential to the land's harmony.

"Show me these footprints," he said firmly.

The gryphon spread her wings. "Follow me, Sir Knight."

As they flew toward the dragon caves, the knight spotted something unusual below. A small hummingbird with iridescent feathers was darting frantically between the trees, making urgent chirping sounds.

"Wait," the knight called out. "That hummingbird seems distressed. Maybe it saw something."

The gryphon landed near the tiny bird, who immediately began chattering rapidly in a high-pitched voice.
