The Mysterious Flutter
Hogwarts stood grand and glowing under the morning sun, its turrets reaching proudly towards the sky. Hermione Granger, having recently graduated, was exploring its familiar yet silent halls. Those fascinating days of spells and wonder seemed like they were carved into her bones, echoing with every step she took.
Stepping out to the warmth of the courtyard, Hermione stopped, feeling a soft flutter in her belly. She frowned, confused. "Was it the breakfast?" she mused aloud, feeling slightly foolish but, in the quiet of Hogwarts, it was almost like speaking to an old friend.
Just then, Ginny, her friend with fiery hair and mischief in her eyes, appeared swiftly by her side.
"You look puzzled," Ginny observed, her face a mix of warmth and curiosity.
Hermione hesitated. "I... it sounds silly, but I've been feeling this odd fluttering," she admitted softly.
Ginny's eyes widened, her mischievous grin morphing into a sincere smile. "You need to mention this to Ron as soon as possible!"
Hermione nodded, her heart racing as she realized this could be something far more breathtaking than nerves.
Laughter and Levitations
Sunlight sparkled off the surface of the Hogwarts' lake, casting rippling reflections on Hermione's face. She sat cross-legged on the grassy bank, fidgeting with the corner of her graduate robe as Ron settled down beside her, his red hair as fiery as ever.
"So," she began, voice barely above a whisper, "about those flutters..."
Ron, nibbling on a sandwich, looked at her with curious blue eyes. "Yeah, what about them?"
Hermione took a deep breath. "I think I might be... expecting," she admitted, trying to steady her voice.
For a moment, Ron froze, mid-bite. Then, as if in disbelief, his sandwich floated unexpectedly from his hand into the lake with a splash that sent Hermione into peals of laughter.
"Blimey, Hermione!" Ron exclaimed, a mixture of shock and amusement on his freckled face. "This is—wow—I mean, big news!"
Hermione's laughter faded into a warm smile. "A bit overwhelming, isn't it?" she admitted.
Ron, now settled, looked determined. "More like exciting," he admitted, his hand finding hers.
