The Great Art Supply Heist

Morning Routine
Captain Pencil stretched his arms and yawned as the morning sun streamed through the tall windows of Pencil Fortress. His blue supersuit wrinkled from sleep, and his spiky black hair stuck up at odd angles.
"Another beautiful day in Sketch City," he said to himself, adjusting his black sunglass goggles.
He walked to his desk and reached for his favorite pencil to jot down his daily plans. His hand closed around nothing but air.
"Huh?" Captain Pencil looked down at the empty pencil holder. He checked the drawers, then the shelves. Not a single pencil anywhere.
"That's weird," he muttered, scratching his head. "I know I had at least twenty pencils yesterday."
He tried to summon his giant glowing pencil, concentrating hard. Nothing happened. His powers felt sluggish, like trying to run underwater.
A knock echoed through the fortress. Captain Pencil hurried to the door, still puzzled by his missing supplies and weakened abilities.
The Unexpected Visitor
Captain Pencil opened the fortress door to find a small humanoid sheep standing on his doorstep. She wore a purple apron covered in paint splatters and held a clipboard in her hooves.
"Captain Pencil! Thank goodness you're here," she said, adjusting her round glasses. "I'm Woolly Jenkins from the Art Supply Store downtown. We have a major problem."
"What kind of problem?" Captain Pencil asked, still confused about his missing pencils.
"Every single pencil in Sketch City has vanished overnight," Woolly explained, her voice shaking. "Not just yours—every pencil in every store, every school, every home. People are panicking. Children can't do their homework. Artists can't draw. The whole city is in chaos."
Captain Pencil's stomach dropped. His weakened powers suddenly made sense.
"There's more," Woolly continued, flipping through pages on her clipboard. "Strange reports are coming in. People saw giant mechanical birds flying over the city last night, carrying enormous bags. The mayor wants to see you immediately."
Captain Pencil grabbed his cape, realizing this was much bigger than he thought.
