A Perfect Morning

The Little Red Hen hummed as she walked through Cat Dog Horse playground with her tiny basket of wheat. The morning sun painted everything golden.

"What a perfect day for baking!" she chirped, adjusting her blue patchwork apron.

Near the sandbox, Cat stretched lazily in a sunny spot. Dog was chasing butterflies by the swings. Horse munched grass near the fence.

"Friends!" called the Little Red Hen. "I'm going to bake the most delicious cake today. Would you like to help?"

Cat yawned. "Too sleepy."

Dog barked playfully but kept chasing butterflies. "Too busy!"

Horse swished his tail. "Too much work."

The Little Red Hen smiled anyway. "Well, I'll manage just fine on my own."

She spotted some interesting ingredients scattered around the playground.

The Fizzy Discovery

The Little Red Hen picked up a sparkly blue powder near the monkey bars. "This looks like sugar!" she said, sprinkling it into her mixing bowl.

A hummingbird zipped over, its tiny wings beating fast. "Wait! That's not sugar—that's magical bubble powder from the music festival last week!"

Too late. The mixture began fizzing and bubbling like a volcano.

"Oh my!" gasped the Little Red Hen as purple foam spilled everywhere.

The hummingbird hovered nervously. "It makes everything float when it touches air!"

Just then, her mixing bowl lifted off the ground and started spinning in circles above their heads.

"Help!" called the Little Red Hen, but Cat was still napping, Dog was chasing his tail, and Horse had wandered to the far corner of the playground.
