Ms. Crayon Camel soared high above Craft Zoo City, her blue cape fluttering in the morning breeze. The four crayon towers of her fortress gleamed like colorful beacons below her. She clutched her giant magic crayon, watching over the bustling streets filled with humans, animal citizens, and cheerful living art projects.

"Another peaceful morning," she said to herself, landing gracefully on the tallest tower. Her long lashes caught the sunlight as she smiled warmly at the scene below.

A papier-mâché butterfly fluttered up to greet her. "Good morning, Ms. Camel! Everything looks wonderful today!"

"It certainly does, Buttercup," she replied, patting the colorful creature gently.

Down in the main square, art supply shops were opening their doors. Children skipped to school with bright backpacks full of crayons, markers, and paint brushes. The city hummed with creative energy.

Ms. Camel stretched her arms and prepared for another day of keeping Craft Zoo City safe and colorful.

When Colors Fade

Ms. Crayon Camel had barely finished stretching when a sharp whistle pierced the morning air. She turned to see Officer Sparrow, a brown-feathered police bird, frantically flapping toward her fortress.

"Ms. Camel! Emergency at Melody's Music Festival!" Officer Sparrow gasped, landing on the tower's edge. "All the crayons are vanishing!"

"What do you mean vanishing?" Ms. Camel asked, gripping her magic crayon tighter.

"Gone! Disappeared! The festival stage was covered in colorful chalk art this morning, but now everything's turning gray and crumbling!"

Ms. Camel's eyes widened. She quickly activated her X-ray vision, scanning the city below. Art supply shops stood empty, their crayon displays bare. Children walked to school with confused expressions, carrying empty pencil cases.

"This is impossible," she whispered.

Officer Sparrow's tail feathers twitched nervously. "It gets worse. The festival's tonight, and without crayons for the art booths, Mayor Fox might cancel everything!"

Ms. Camel felt a strange tingling in her magic crayon. For the first time ever, it flickered weakly in her grasp. Her stomach dropped as she realized the unthinkable was happening.
