Morning Patrol

Atomic Crayon Lioness stretched her golden-tan arms above her head as the morning sun painted Alpha Zoo City in bright orange streaks. From the observation deck of Atomic Crayon Tower, she could see families walking to school and work below.

"Another beautiful day," she said to herself, adjusting her blue mask. Her teal cape fluttered in the breeze.

She pulled out her giant teal crayon, its surface gleaming with magical energy. "Time for morning patrol."

With a powerful leap, she launched into the sky. The wind rushed through her sleek fur as she soared over the bustling streets. Children waved from sidewalks, and she waved back with her blue-gloved hand.

Everything seemed perfectly normal in her city. The park was filled with laughing kids drawing with chalk. Art classes painted murals on building walls. Street artists sketched portraits for tourists.

But something felt different today. She couldn't quite put her finger on it yet.

The Silent Shelves

Atomic Crayon Lioness swooped down toward the city's main market square, where colorful vendor stalls usually displayed their wares. But something was terribly wrong.

"Where are all the crayons?" she whispered, landing near a toy shop.

The elderly shopkeeper, a kind woman with silver hair pulled into a neat bun, stood outside wringing her hands. Her brown eyes looked worried behind her wire-rimmed glasses. She wore a purple cardigan over her white blouse.

"They just vanished!" the woman said. "Every single crayon, colored pencil, and marker in my shop disappeared overnight. The children can't draw anything!"

Atomic Crayon Lioness pulled out her giant teal crayon. It flickered weakly, then went completely dim.

"My powers," she gasped. "They're connected to creativity in the city."

Around the market, other vendors called out in panic. Art supplies had vanished from every shop. Parents held crying children who couldn't finish their drawings.

A small robotic drone buzzed overhead, scanning the empty shelves with red laser beams. It beeped once and flew away toward the edge of town.

"This isn't random," Atomic Crayon Lioness said grimly. "Someone planned this."
