Wild Morning Warnings

Jackie pulled her black hoodie tight as she walked through Harristown's twisted streets. Her long dark hair swayed behind her like a cape, bangs covering half her face.

"G'day, Ollie!" she called to her friend who was hiding behind a lamppost. His hair stuck out in every direction like he'd been struck by lightning.

"Jackie! Did you hear?" Ollie whispered, his voice shaking. "The Sweet Snip Salon opened three new locations this week!"

"Crikey," Jackie muttered, tucking a strand behind her ear. "That's bad news, mate."

Remi jogged up, his curly hair bouncing wildly. "My mum keeps staring at my head and sighing. I think she's planning something."

Mike and Jacob appeared from around the corner, both sporting hair that reached their shoulders. Carson shuffled behind them, nervously patting his messy locks.

"We need a plan," Jackie declared. "Those hairdressers are getting bolder. Yesterday one of them actually smiled at me!"

The group huddled together, their collective hair creating a small forest of tangles and waves.

The Music Festival Trap

"Wait," Carson whispered, pointing down the street. "What's that?"

A woman with short brown hair stood at the corner, setting up a colorful booth. Speakers played cheerful music, and a banner read "FREE HAIRCUTS AT MELODY FESTIVAL!"

"Crikey," Jackie muttered. "It's a trap, mate."

The woman spotted them and waved enthusiastically. "Hello, children! I'm Sarah from Sweet Snip Salon. Would you like to join our music festival? We have games, snacks, and special haircut prizes!"

Ollie's eyes went wide with terror. "She's one of them!"

"And look," Remi pointed shakily. "She's got clippers hanging from her belt."

Jackie's stomach dropped. The silver clippers gleamed in the sunlight like tiny swords.

"If those devils get near my head, I'm gonna die from the baldness!" Mike whispered frantically.

Sarah started walking toward them with a bright smile. "Don't be shy! We just want to help tame those wild monkey hairstyles."

"Run!" Jackie shouted.

The group scattered in different directions, their long hair streaming behind them like battle flags. Sarah called after them sweetly, "We'll be here all week!"
