The Day of Snip-Snaps

Quincy sat cross-legged on the colorful carpet, holding her blue teddy bear Blu. Around her, chaos erupted at Button and Stitches daycare.

"I don't want my hair cut!" Xavier wailed, his shaggy brown hair covering his eyes.

His twin brother Zeke nodded frantically. "Mine's perfect the way it is!"

Miss Bella clapped her hands. "Children, Miss Carly is here to make you all look wonderful for picture day tomorrow."

The friendly hairstylist wheeled in her special cart filled with scissors, combs, and colorful hair clips. Most of the boys groaned loudly.

Quincy watched without expression as her friend Pugsley actually smiled. "I like haircuts," he said cheerfully.

In the corner, shy Honey with her beautiful ginger curls started sniffling quietly.

The Unexpected Visitor

Miss Carly smiled brightly at the frightened children. "Who wants to go first?"

Honey's sniffles turned into louder sobs. Her ginger curls bounced as she shook her head. "Please don't cut my hair!" she cried.

Quincy watched with her usual blank expression. She hugged Blu closer.

Suddenly, a small sparrow flew through the open window. It fluttered around the room, chirping loudly. All the children gasped and pointed up at the ceiling.

"Oh my!" Miss Bella exclaimed as the bird swooped near her head.

In the commotion, Honey bolted toward the bathroom and locked herself inside.

Miss Carly sighed. "Well, this is unexpected."
