Pink Scissors and Morning Plans

Yuki adjusted her scissor-shaped hairpins and checked her reflection in the salon mirror. Her pink curls bounced as she nodded approvingly at her makeup.

"Another perfect day for haircuts!" she announced to the empty salon, twirling her scissors earrings.

The bell jingled as Maki and Yuko walked in. Maki carried her silver thinning shears like a magic wand, while Yuko's electric clippers hummed softly in her hand.

"Did you see the notice from the mayor?" Maki asked, waving a crumpled paper. "Five boys in town need haircuts, but they refuse to come to any salon."

Yuko giggled. "How bad could it be?"

"Bad enough that their parents are desperate," Maki replied. "Apparently, they've been mistaken for girls because their hair is so long and messy."

Yuki's purple eyes sparkled with determination. She gripped her magical scissors tighter.

"Then we'll go to them," she declared. "No one in Nakaibito village should have to live with terrible hair!"

Outside, the morning sun cast long shadows across the village streets.

The Discovery at the Music Festival

The three girls walked down the main street, their magical hair tools glinting in the sunlight. Yuki's scissors earrings jingled with each step.

"Where should we look first?" Maki asked, spinning her thinning shears like a baton.

Before anyone could answer, loud music echoed from the town square. A banner stretched between two lamp posts read "Nakaiboto Spring Music Festival."

"Perfect!" Yuko grinned. "Everyone in town will be there."

They hurried toward the festival, weaving between food stalls selling takoyaki and cotton candy. A band played on stage while families sat on picnic blankets.

Then Yuki spotted them.

Five boys huddled behind the festival's main tent, their hair so long and tangled it covered most of their faces. One boy peeked around the tent corner, watching other kids dance near the stage.

"Those must be them," Maki whispered.

The tallest boy noticed the girls approaching and immediately grabbed his friends' arms.

"Run!" he shouted.

All five boys scattered in different directions, disappearing into the crowd like frightened rabbits.

Yuki clutched her magical scissors tighter. "This won't be as easy as we thought."
