The Pink Salon Opens
Yuki adjusted her tiny scissor earrings as she unlocked the door to her new salon in Nakaibito village. The morning sun streamed through the windows, making her pink hair sparkle under her cute hairpins.
"Perfect!" she said, arranging her magical scissors on the counter. Her green eyes surveyed the cozy space with its three pink chairs and gleaming mirrors.
Her phone buzzed with a text from her friend Maki: "Ready for your first day? The other magical girls are excited to hear how it goes!"
Yuki smiled and typed back: "Can't wait to help everyone look their best!"
She flipped the sign to "OPEN" just as her neighbor Mrs. Tanaka walked by with her shopping basket.
"Good luck, dear!" Mrs. Tanaka called through the window. "Though I should warn you - there are some local boys who might be... challenging customers."
Yuki tilted her head curiously. "Challenging how?"
"Oh, you'll see," Mrs. Tanaka said with a knowing smile before continuing down the street.
Yuki shrugged and began preparing for her first customers, humming cheerfully.
The Morning Rush
Yuki had barely finished dusting her mirrors when the door burst open. A cheerful woman with flour-dusted apron rushed in, dragging five reluctant boys behind her.
"Please help!" the woman panted. "I'm Keiko, the baker from down the street. These boys' parents asked me to bring them before my morning rush starts."
Yuki blinked at the scene. The five boys looked miserable, their long, greasy hair hanging over their faces like curtains. The tallest boy, who seemed about twelve, crossed his arms defiantly.
"I'm Ren," he announced. "And we're not getting haircuts."
"Yeah!" agreed a smaller boy with tangled dark hair. "I'm Riku, and scissors are scary!"
The other boys - Haruto, Kenji, and Hiroto - nodded vigorously, hiding behind their messy bangs.
Keiko shook her head sympathetically. "They had bad experiences at the old barber shop. Now people mistake them for girls because of their long hair. Their parents are furious!"
"We don't care!" Haruto shouted, backing toward the door. "We're not sitting in those chairs!"
Yuki looked at the frightened boys, then at her gleaming scissors. This wasn't going to be easy.
