Morning Discoveries

Crayon Foxy Loxy stretched her arms wide as sunlight poured through the crystal windows of Crayon Castle. Her giant blue crayon caught the morning light, casting cheerful blue shadows across her bedroom walls.

"What a perfect day for an adventure!" she said, adjusting her purple mask and smoothing her flowing red cape.

She bounced down the spiral stairs, her glowing blue skirt swirling around her orange fur. The castle's four crayon towers gleamed in the distance as she stepped outside into Craft Room City.

But something felt different today. The usually vibrant market square looked... duller somehow. The flower vendor, Mrs. Paintbrush, was frowning at her display.

"Good morning, Mrs. Paintbrush!" Foxy called out cheerfully.

"Oh, hello dear," the elderly sheep replied, her wool a soft gray color and her kind brown eyes worried. "I'm afraid it's not such a good morning. My flowers seem to have lost some of their brightness overnight."

Foxy tilted her head, studying the blooms. They did look paler than usual.

The Messenger's Warning

Foxy knelt beside the flower display, touching a rose petal gently with her paw. "When did you first notice this, Mrs. Paintbrush?"

"Just this morning, dear. My prize tulips were bright yellow yesterday, and now look." The sheep gestured with her hoof at the pale, washed-out blooms.

A sharp whistle echoed across the market square. Foxy looked up to see a hummingbird darting between the colorful awnings overhead. The tiny bird landed on her shoulder, its emerald feathers shimmering.

"Foxy! Thank goodness I found you," the hummingbird chirped urgently. "I'm Zippy from the Color Council. We have a crisis!"

"The Color Council?" Foxy asked.

"Colors are vanishing all over the city," Zippy explained, hovering anxiously. "First the sunset oranges disappeared from Painter's Park, then the emerald greens from Brush Boulevard. Now half the rainbow has gone missing!"

Mrs. Paintbrush gasped. "Missing? How can colors just disappear?"

"Someone or something is stealing them," Zippy said. "The Council needs your help, Foxy. You're the only one brave enough to investigate."

Foxy gripped her giant blue crayon tighter. "Where did the colors disappear first?"
