Morning Patrol
Crayon Mother Cat soared through the morning sky above Canvas Forest City, her red cape flowing behind her as she practiced her daily patrol. The sun sparkled off her blue dress and mask while she held her giant glowing blue crayon like a staff.
"Good morning, city!" she called out cheerfully, waving to the humans and humanoid cats below who looked up and waved back.
She swooped down toward Crayon Castle, where the four colorful towers reached toward the clouds. The castle looked peaceful in the early light, but something felt different today.
Landing gracefully on the main tower's balcony, she peered inside through the large windows. Usually by this time, she could see the nine deer friends moving about in their cozy housecoats, getting ready for their morning routines.
But today, the castle seemed unusually quiet.
"Hello?" Crayon Mother Cat called out as she stepped inside. "Deer friends, are you there?"
A muffled voice echoed from somewhere deep within the castle. It sounded upset, maybe even a little panicked.
Crayon Mother Cat's whiskers twitched with concern. Something was definitely wrong at Crayon Castle.
The Floating Purple Surprise
Crayon Mother Cat followed the upset voice through the winding hallways of Crayon Castle. Her superhero senses picked up the sound coming from the laundry room near the yellow tower.
She pushed open the heavy wooden door and gasped. Nine humanoid deer friends stood shivering in the chilly room, clutching thin bath towels around themselves. Their usual fluffy housecoats were nowhere to be seen.
"Crayon Mother Cat!" called out Luna, a brown deer with white spots. "Thank goodness you're here!"
"What happened to your housecoats?" Crayon Mother Cat asked, her whiskers twitching with concern.
"They vanished right off our backs!" said Maple, a red deer with golden antlers. "We were having morning tea when suddenly—poof! Our coats disappeared into thin air!"
Stella, a silver deer, pointed at the washing machines. "Even our spare towels from these machines started floating away by themselves! We barely caught these last few."
Just then, a mechanical whirring sound echoed from above. Crayon Mother Cat looked up through her x-ray vision and spotted something shocking—a small silver drone hovering near the ceiling, clutching a purple housecoat in tiny mechanical claws.
"A drone thief!" she exclaimed.
