The Great Towel Mystery

Morning Routine at the Palace
The morning sun sparkled through the crystal windows of Polar Bear Palace. Lesbian Polar Bear stretched her powerful arms and adjusted her orange mask. Her purple cape fluttered as she walked down the marble hallway.
"Good morning, my beautiful girlfriends!" she called cheerfully.
Eight caribou girlfriends emerged from their rooms, each wearing their signature towel-capes. Maple had a bright red towel, while Fern wore forest green. The others displayed towels in every color of the rainbow.
"Time for breakfast!" announced Willow, the smallest caribou, her yellow towel swishing behind her.
They all gathered in the grand dining hall. Crystal chandeliers cast dancing light patterns across the polished floor. The caribou girlfriends chatted happily about their plans for the day in Super Tundra City.
"I want to visit the ice cream parlor," said Rose, smoothing her pink towel.
"The library sounds perfect," added Sage, adjusting her purple towel.
Everything felt perfectly normal in their cozy palace home.
The Empty Closets
After breakfast, the caribou girlfriends scattered to their rooms to get ready for their day in Super Tundra City. Lesbian Polar Bear was polishing her orange mask when a terrible scream echoed through the palace halls.
"My towel is gone!" shrieked Maple, the caribou with brown fur, rushing out of her room in just her regular clothes.
"Mine too!" cried Willow, the smallest caribou with tan fur, her amber eyes wide with panic.
One by one, all eight caribou girlfriends emerged from their rooms, looking completely lost without their signature towel-capes. Rose's pink towel had vanished. Sage's purple one was missing. Even Fern's forest green towel had disappeared overnight.
"This is impossible," said Lesbian Polar Bear, adjusting her purple cape. "Who would steal your towels?"
Just then, her phone buzzed with a text message from the palace's smart security system: "Motion detected in laundry room at 3:47 AM. One small figure moving quickly."
The polar bear's eyes narrowed. Someone had definitely been sneaking around while they slept. But who could fit through the palace's tight security? And why take only the towels?
"We need to investigate the laundromat downtown," she announced. "Someone's playing a very strange game."
