The Hair Rescue Squad

Pink Scissors and Purple Eyes
Yuki twirled in front of her salon mirror, her pink curls bouncing with each spin. The scissor hairpins caught the morning sunlight streaming through the window.
"Another beautiful day in Nakaibito village!" she said, adjusting her pink dress. Her purple eyes sparkled as she polished her scissors earrings.
The bell above her salon door chimed. Mrs. Tanaka shuffled inside, looking frazzled.
"Oh, Yuki! I need your help desperately," the older woman said, wringing her hands. "It's those five boys again - Ren, Riku, Haruto, Kenji, and Hiroto. Their hair has grown so long and messy that people mistake them for girls!"
Yuki tilted her head. "Why don't they just get haircuts?"
Mrs. Tanaka sighed deeply. "They're terrified of scissors, clippers, everything! Bad experiences, you see. But their parents are furious. They're bringing them here today whether the boys like it or not."
Through the window, Yuki spotted five boys being dragged down the street, their long, greasy hair covering their faces as they kicked and screamed.
The Sparrow's Opinion
The salon door burst open with a tremendous crash. Five boys tumbled inside, their parents pushing them forward while they dug their heels into the floor.
"No, no, NO!" screamed the tallest boy, his greasy black hair hanging past his shoulders. "I won't let anyone near me with those things!"
Yuki watched as each boy bit his nails frantically. The shortest one with brown hair whimpered behind his curtain of tangles. Another boy with dirty blonde hair tried to crawl under a chair.
"Please, Yuki," pleaded Mr. Watanabe, holding onto a squirming red-haired boy. "Ren hasn't had a proper haircut in two years. Look at him!"
The boy named Ren kicked wildly. "The barber cut my ear last time! There was blood everywhere!"
Suddenly, a small sparrow flew through the open door, chirping loudly as it circled the chaos. The bird perched on Yuki's shoulder, tilting its tiny head.
"Even the sparrow thinks your hair is too long," Yuki said gently, but the boys only screamed louder.
The parents looked exhausted. The boys looked terrified. And Yuki realized this would be much harder than cutting regular hair.
