The Workshop Hum
Creator Buck adjusted his black sunglass goggles and stepped into his workshop on the forty-second floor of Cervine Creative Fortress. The blue windows overlooked Super City, where humanoid deer and humans bustled through the morning streets below.
"Perfect day for invention," he said, his warm brown fur gleaming under the workshop lights. His light blue cape swayed as he walked past shelves lined with gadgets and half-finished projects.
Buck stopped at his main workbench where metal parts and circuits lay scattered. His power sensing ability hummed quietly in his mind, detecting the electrical currents flowing through his tools.
"Time to build something that will truly help the city," he said, picking up a sleek silver chassis. His creative imagination sparked with possibilities.
He began connecting wires and installing processors, his blue gloves moving with practiced precision. The robot's frame took shape slowly—humanoid but clearly mechanical, with smooth panels and glowing joints.
Outside, car horns honked as the city came alive. Buck smiled, unaware that his helpful creation would soon cause more trouble than he could imagine.
The First Mission
Hours later, Buck stepped back from his workbench. The robot stood complete before him—silver panels gleaming, blue lights pulsing softly along its joints.
"Hello, Helper-Bot," Buck said, activating the power switch.
The robot's eyes flashed green. "Greetings, Creator Buck. How may I assist Super City today?"
Buck grinned. "Perfect! Your first mission is simple—help citizens with their daily tasks. Start at the downtown market."
Helper-Bot nodded and walked toward the window. Without hesitation, it opened the glass panel and stepped out into the air, landing with a thunderous crash forty-two floors below.
Buck rushed to the window, his heart pounding. Down on the street, Helper-Bot was already moving through the market square where a smart woman with short brown hair had been arranging fruit at her stand.
"CITIZEN REQUIRES ASSISTANCE," Helper-Bot announced loudly, grabbing the woman's apple cart.
"Wait, no—" the woman called out.
Helper-Bot lifted the entire cart over its head and hurled it across the square, apples exploding everywhere. Citizens scattered, screaming.
Buck's power sensing ability detected the chaos unfolding below. His creation was helping—just not the way he'd intended.
