The Blue Glow
Creator Buck stood on the highest balcony of the Cervine Creative Fortress, watching Super City sprawl beneath him. The three black towers stretched into the cloudy afternoon sky, their blue windows reflecting the bustling streets below. Humanoid deer and humans moved through the sidewalks like colorful dots.
"Another quiet day," Buck said to himself, adjusting his black sunglass goggles. His light blue cape fluttered in the wind.
A soft chime echoed from his communicator. Buck pressed the blue button on his glove.
"Creator Buck here."
"Sir, we're getting strange reports from Central Park," came the voice of Officer Maple, a deer from the city patrol. "People are saying they saw floating paintbrushes and invisible footprints in the mud near the fountain."
Buck's antlers tilted forward with interest. "Floating paintbrushes?"
"Yes, sir. And there are beautiful paintings appearing on trees, but no one sees who's making them."
Buck's power sensing ability tingled slightly. Something unusual was definitely happening.
The Music and the Mystery
Buck glided down from the fortress in three smooth leaps, his cape billowing behind him. The streets of Super City bustled with afternoon shoppers, but Central Park felt different when he arrived. Music drifted through the air—a gentle violin melody that seemed to come from nowhere.
"That's new," Buck muttered, following the sound toward the fountain.
Near the old oak trees, a small crowd had gathered. A woman with short auburn hair and paint-stained fingers pointed excitedly at a tree trunk.
"Look! Another one just appeared while I was watching!"
Buck stepped closer. A beautiful painting covered the bark—swirls of blue and silver that looked like wind made visible. Fresh paint gleamed in the sunlight.
"I'm telling you, nobody was there," said an elderly human man, shaking his head. "The brush just moved by itself."
The violin music grew louder, and Buck's power sensing ability buzzed strongly. Something was definitely here, something invisible. The music suddenly stopped with a sharp, frightened squeak. A paintbrush clattered to the ground, rolling away from the tree.
