Morning Sketches

Doodle Woman stood at the highest tower of her crayon fortress, watching the sun paint Art Gallery Metropolis in golden hues. The city stretched below her like a living canvas, with art galleries gleaming like jewels between the streets.

"Another peaceful morning," she said, adjusting her purple mask. Her green eyes sparkled as she spotted early visitors already gathering outside the Grand Metropolitan Gallery.

She slid down a giant purple marker that served as a slide, landing gracefully in her workshop. Paintbrushes hung from the walls like swords, and easels stood ready for action. Her belt jingled with colorful art tools as she walked to her communication panel.

The screen flickered to life, showing news anchor Rebecca Stone. "Good morning, Art Gallery Metropolis! Today marks the opening of the Masterpiece Exhibition, featuring priceless paintings from around the world."

Doodle Woman smiled. "Sounds like a perfect day for—"

The screen suddenly crackled with static, then showed emergency alerts flashing red across the city map.

The Sparrow's Warning

Emergency sirens blared across Art Gallery Metropolis. Doodle Woman pressed buttons on her communication panel, watching red dots flash on the city map.

"Three art galleries hit simultaneously," she muttered, studying the locations. "The Grand Metropolitan, Sunset Canvas, and Modern Masters Gallery."

Her screen crackled again. This time, a small sparrow appeared on her windowsill, chirping frantically. The bird's brown feathers were ruffled with panic.

"What's wrong, little friend?" Doodle Woman opened the window. The sparrow flew inside, circling her workshop before landing on her easel.

It pecked at a blank canvas, leaving tiny dots. Doodle Woman grabbed her purple crayon and connected the dots. The pattern showed three buildings with swirling vortexes above them.

"You saw what happened!" she gasped.

The sparrow nodded and flew to her belt, pulling out a blue marker with its beak. It dropped the marker at her feet and pointed its wing toward the city.

Doodle Woman's green eyes widened. "You want me to investigate?"

But as she reached for her marker, the sparrow suddenly froze. Its eyes turned completely white, and it spoke in a strange, echoing voice: "The invisible thief sees all, but remains unseen."
