The Golden Arches Visit

Chihiro pressed her nose against the car window as Dad pulled into the McDonald's parking lot. The red and yellow signs glowed bright against the afternoon sky.

"Can I get a Happy Meal?" she asked, bouncing in her seat.

Mom turned around with a smile. "Of course, sweetie. What toy do you think you'll get?"

"I hope it's something cool!" Chihiro said as they walked through the glass doors. The restaurant smelled like french fries and burgers. Families sat at colorful tables, and the play area echoed with children's laughter.

At the counter, Dad ordered their meals. When the worker handed over Chihiro's red Happy Meal box, it felt strangely warm in her hands. She shook it gently, hearing something rattle inside that didn't sound like a regular toy.

Unexpected Visitors

Chihiro sat at their table and carefully opened the warm Happy Meal box. Inside, instead of a plastic toy, three tiny children no bigger than her thumb tumbled out onto her french fries.

"Help us!" squeaked the smallest one, a girl with bright purple hair. "We're lost!"

Mom and Dad kept eating their burgers, completely unaware. The tiny visitors seemed invisible to everyone except Chihiro.

"I'm Zoey," said the purple-haired girl. "These are my friends Rumi and Mira. We fell through a portal in our Huntrix world and landed in your meal box!"

Rumi, who had silver wings like a hummingbird, fluttered nervously. "The portal closed behind us. We can't get home!"

Mira nodded, her green dress shimmering. "Will you help us find another way back?"
