The Paint Splash Competition

Morning Routine
Crayon Paintbrush Doe stretched her arms as the first rays of sunlight streamed through the tall windows of her fortress. The colorful crayon walls gleamed in the morning light, and she could hear birds chirping in the Craft Room Forest beyond.
"Another beautiful day for art," she said, adjusting her blue mask and smoothing her paint-splattered cape.
She walked to her easel and picked up her favorite brush. With a flick of her wrist, a giant magic paintbrush appeared in her hand, shimmering with rainbow colors.
"Perfect," she whispered, practicing a few graceful strokes in the air.
A knock echoed from the front gate. Doe peered through her window and spotted a raccoon in a postal uniform holding a bright yellow envelope.
"Mail delivery!" the raccoon called cheerfully.
Doe hurried downstairs and opened the gate. The raccoon handed her the envelope with a grin.
"Special delivery for the famous artist superhero," he said.
Doe tore open the envelope and gasped.
The Golden Invitation
Doe's eyes widened as she read the invitation. "The Great Paint Splash Competition - Grand Prize: The Golden Brush of Eternal Art!" She nearly dropped the yellow envelope.
Her phone buzzed. She pulled it from her cape pocket and saw a text from her friend Sparrow, a small brown bird who worked at the art supply store downtown.
"Did you get the invitation too? This is HUGE! Everyone's talking about it!"
Doe typed back quickly. "Just got it! Can't believe they invited me!"
"Meet me at Rainbow Plaza in twenty minutes," Sparrow replied. "I have news about the other contestants."
Doe grabbed her art supplies and flew out of her fortress on her magic paintbrush. The wind whipped through her cape as she soared over Craft Room Forest toward the city center.
At Rainbow Plaza, she spotted Sparrow perched on a fountain, looking worried. The small brown bird with bright yellow beak hopped closer when Doe landed.
"Doe, I saw the other contestants buying supplies today," Sparrow chirped nervously. "They weren't buying regular brushes. They had these weird glowing ones that made paint appear out of thin air."
Doe frowned. "That sounds like cheating."
