Towers and Announcements
Super Paintbrush Doe stood on the highest tower of Solitude Art Gallery, her red cape fluttering in the morning breeze. The futuristic fortress gleamed silver and blue beneath her feet, its four paintbrush-shaped towers reaching toward the sky like giant art tools. Canvas Metropolis sprawled below, a vibrant city where humans and deer lived side by side.
"Another peaceful day," she murmured, adjusting her light blue mask.
Her giant glowing paintbrush hummed softly at her side as she gazed over the colorful buildings. Street art decorated every wall, and creative energy seemed to flow through the air itself. Artists of all species worked at easels on rooftops and in parks.
Suddenly, a commotion erupted from the central plaza. Deer and humans gathered around a massive electronic billboard that had just flickered to life. Super Paintbrush Doe squinted to read the bold text scrolling across the screen.
"The first annual Canvas Metropolis Art Competition!" she read aloud. Her heart jumped with excitement. A real art contest in her beloved city!
The Golden Announcement
Super Paintbrush Doe swooped down from the tower, her red cape streaming behind her. The plaza buzzed with excitement as deer and humans crowded around the billboard. She landed softly beside a koala wearing paint-splattered overalls who was reading the announcement aloud.
"Prizes include ten thousand dollars and the Golden Canvas Trophy!" the koala exclaimed. "Registration starts tomorrow at Harmony Art Studio."
Super Paintbrush Doe's eyes sparkled. Ten thousand dollars could help so many artists in Canvas Metropolis! She pulled out her phone and quickly took a screenshot of the billboard details.
"Are you entering?" asked the koala, noticing her costume.
"Absolutely," she replied. "This could be amazing for our community."
As the crowd began to disperse, three figures emerged from behind the billboard. Super Paintbrush Doe recognized them immediately - Smudge, Splatter, and Drip, notorious art vandals who had caused trouble throughout the city. They whispered together, pointing at the competition announcement.
Smudge grinned wickedly. "Easy money," he muttered. "Those honest artists won't know what hit them."
Super Paintbrush Doe's stomach dropped. Something told her this competition wouldn't be as fair as it seemed.
