Morning Rounds
Creator Lion stretched his powerful arms as sunlight poured through the blue windows of Creative Pride Fortress. His light blue cape rustled softly as he walked toward the main tower's observation deck.
"Another peaceful morning in Super City," he said to himself, adjusting his black sunglass goggles. From this height, he could see the entire metropolis spread below—humans and lion citizens starting their daily routines.
Creator Lioness appeared beside him, her golden fur gleaming in the morning light. "Ready for patrol?" she asked, her athletic frame poised for action.
"Always," Creator Lion replied with a confident smile. His 43 super powers hummed quietly within him, from creative imagination to power bestowal. Everything felt normal.
He activated his flight ability and soared into the sky above the southern outskirts. The city looked perfect from up here—bakeries opening, libraries welcoming early readers, traffic flowing smoothly.
But something felt different today. A strange tingling sensation crept through his powers, like static electricity dancing across his abilities. Creator Lion frowned, slowing his flight.
"That's odd," he murmured.
The Floating Baker
The tingling sensation grew stronger as Creator Lion landed on the roof of Rosie's Bakery downtown. Below him, he heard unusual sounds coming from the kitchen—crashes and what sounded like someone shouting in surprise.
"Help! Something's wrong with me!" a woman's voice called out.
Creator Lion peered through the skylight and saw Rosie Martinez, the baker he'd known for years. The middle-aged woman with curly black hair was floating three feet off the ground, her flour-covered apron billowing as she spun helplessly in the air.
"I can't get down!" she cried, bumping into hanging pots and pans.
Creator Lion's heart raced. His flight power—Rosie somehow had his flight power! He touched his chest and felt that familiar ability completely gone from his collection of powers.
"Stay calm, Rosie!" he called through the window. "I'm coming in!"
But as he reached for his flight ability to swoop down and help her, nothing happened. His feet stayed firmly planted on the roof tiles.
Creator Lion stared at his hands in shock. If Rosie had his flight power, what did that mean for his other forty-two abilities?
