Morning Cuddles

Crayon Pinocchio stretched his wooden arms and yawned inside the Crayon Puppet Tower. Sunlight streamed through the blue-tinted windows, casting cheerful rays across his bedroom floor. He sat up in his special bed shaped like a giant crayon box.

"Good morning, girls!" he called to his three beloved sheep dolls lined up on the windowsill.

Lyra, with her fluffy white wool and pink bow, usually greeted him with a soft "Baa-baa, good morning!" Bianca, the smallest sheep with her tiny silver bell, would chime in with her musical "Good morning, Crayon!" And Stella, the largest with her golden ribbon, always added her warm "Ready for adventure?"

But this morning, silence filled the room.

Crayon Pinocchio tilted his head, blue eyes blinking behind his sunglass goggles. He walked over and gently picked up Lyra, expecting her usual cheerful greeting.

Nothing.

He tried Bianca and Stella. Still nothing.

"That's odd," he murmured, adjusting his blue-and-black supersuit. His sheep dolls had never been this quiet before.

The Koala's News

Crayon Pinocchio carried his three silent sheep dolls downstairs to the tower's main room. He set them carefully on his blue workbench and pulled out a magnifying glass.

"Let me check if something's wrong with your voices," he said, examining Lyra's tiny mouth. Everything looked normal.

A soft knock echoed through the tower. Crayon Pinocchio opened the door to find a small koala wearing a tool belt around her gray fur.

"Hello there! I'm Penny the shoemaker," she said, adjusting her tiny glasses. "I heard about your sheep dolls losing their voices. Word travels fast in Toy Land."

"You did?" Crayon Pinocchio's wooden eyebrows raised. "How?"

"Three other toys came to my shop this morning with the same problem," Penny explained. "A teddy bear, a robot, and a doll. All silent as stones."

Crayon Pinocchio's heart sank. This wasn't just about his sheep dolls anymore.

"It started at sunrise," Penny continued. "Something's affecting all the talking toys in Toy Land."

"All of them?" Crayon Pinocchio grabbed his giant blue crayon. "We need to find out what's causing this!"

"Agreed," Penny nodded. "But where do we start?"
