New Beginnings
Frosty clutched her enrollment papers with shaking hands as she stared up at Anime Academy's towering gates. Students with colorful hair and oversized eyes streamed past her, chattering excitedly about their first day.
"Move it, shorty!" A boy with spiky green hair bumped into her shoulder.
"Sorry!" Frosty whispered automatically, then winced. The curse tingled through her veins like ice water. She had to be more careful around boys here.
Inside the main hall, a cheerful teacher with pink pigtails called out room assignments. "Dormitory 7B - Frosty Winters, Kai Thunder, Zen Moonlight, and Ryu Starfire!"
Frosty's heart sank. Three boys. Three whole boys as roommates.
"Sweet! We got the ice princess!" Kai Thunder grinned, his lightning-bolt earrings catching the light. He had messy blonde hair and golden eyes that sparkled with mischief.
Zen Moonlight, a quiet boy with silver hair and purple eyes, simply nodded politely.
Ryu Starfire crossed his arms, his red spiky hair matching his fierce amber eyes. "Great, a girl. This'll be awkward."
The Laundromat Discovery
Following the teacher's directions, Frosty trudged behind her three roommates toward the dormitory building. Her snow boots squeaked against the polished floors as they walked through twisting hallways lined with colorful posters.
"Wait, we need to stop by the laundromat first," Kai announced, pointing to a sign. "My lucky shirt got muddy on the way here."
The laundromat hummed with washing machines and the sweet scent of detergent. A smart woman with short black hair looked up from folding towels behind the counter. Her name tag read "Ms. Chen - Dorm Supervisor."
"New students?" she asked cheerfully. "Room assignments can be changed within the first week if needed."
Frosty's heart leaped. Maybe she could escape living with three boys after all!
"Actually," Ryu said, studying Frosty's worried expression, "tell us about our ice princess here. Frosty, sit on that bench."
The curse tingled through Frosty's veins. Against her will, her legs carried her to the wooden bench. She sat down hard, eyes wide with panic.
"Interesting," Zen murmured, his purple eyes narrowing thoughtfully.
