Pink Scissors and Morning Sunlight

Yuki adjusted her scissor-shaped hairpins and smiled at her reflection in the salon window. The pink curls bounced perfectly as she turned her head. Her purple eyes sparkled with excitement.

"Another beautiful day in Nakaibito!" she said, straightening her pink and white dress.

Maki swept hair clippings into a neat pile while Yuko organized bottles of shampoo on the shelf. The Snip Squad salon buzzed with morning energy.

"Did you hear about those boys?" Maki whispered, pointing toward the village square.

Through the window, Yuki spotted five figures with wild, tangled hair that hung past their shoulders. The boys shuffled along the street, heads down, as villagers stared and whispered.

"Their parents are furious," Yuko added. "Everyone keeps mistaking them for girls."

Yuki watched the boys disappear around a corner. Their hair looked greasy and unkempt, like they hadn't brushed it in months.

"Someone should help them," Yuki murmured, touching her scissors necklace thoughtfully.

The Chase Through the Village

The salon door burst open with a loud crash. Five boys stumbled inside, their long hair whipping around their faces as they panted heavily.

"Hide us!" gasped the tallest boy. His black hair hung down to his waist in greasy tangles.

"Please!" added another with brown hair that covered his eyes completely.

Yuki stepped back, startled. These were the boys from the street! Up close, their hair looked even worse than before.

"What's wrong?" Maki asked, setting down her broom.

"The bullies are coming!" the shortest boy whispered. His red hair was so knotted it looked like a bird's nest.

Through the window, Yuki spotted three older boys with wild punk hairstyles running down the street. One carried enormous scissors that glinted in the sunlight.

"Those are Daiki, Sato, and Ryusei," the brown-haired boy explained. "They cut people's hair with giant scissors for fun!"

"And they're after us because we won't let anyone touch our hair," added a boy with blonde tangles.

The punk boys stopped outside the salon, peering through the glass with mean grins.

"Found you!" Daiki shouted, waving his huge scissors in the air.
