Morning Patrol
Creator Buck stood at the edge of his fortress balcony, scanning Super City below. The morning sun painted the buildings in golden light as humans and deer-folk hurried along the sidewalks.
"Beautiful day, isn't it?" his teammate Flash Hoof called from behind him.
Buck nodded, adjusting his black sunglass goggles. "Perfect for patrol." He stretched his tall antlers and checked his blue gloves. "Any reports from the city?"
"All quiet so far," Flash Hoof replied, trotting up beside him. Her silver fur gleamed in the sunlight. "Though Mrs. Patterson called about strange noises near the art museum again."
Buck's power sensing ability tingled slightly. Something felt different today, but he couldn't place what. The city looked normal enough - traffic moving smoothly, children playing in the parks, vendors setting up their colorful fruit stands.
"Let's check it out," Buck decided, his light blue cape fluttering in the breeze. "The Cervine Creative Force keeps this city safe."
He leaped from the balcony, his cape catching the wind.
The Gray Museum
Buck glided through the morning air, his cape streaming behind him. The art museum's brick walls came into view as he landed smoothly on the sidewalk.
"Everything looks normal," he muttered, walking toward the entrance.
A woman with graying hair hurried toward him from across the street. "Creator Buck! Thank goodness you're here."
"Mrs. Patterson?" Buck recognized the museum's head curator. "Flash Hoof said you called about strange noises."
She nodded frantically. "It started this morning. But it's not just noises anymore." She pointed at the museum's front windows. "Look at the paintings inside!"
Buck peered through the glass. His power sensing ability suddenly exploded with alarm. Every painting, every sculpture, every piece of art was completely gray. No reds, no blues, no yellows - nothing but shades of gray and black.
"When did this happen?" Buck asked, his voice tight.
"About an hour ago. All at once, like someone drained every color away." Mrs. Patterson wrung her hands. "And Buck - it's spreading. The flower shop next door just went gray too."
Buck's heart raced. Super City was losing its colors.
