The Morning Wiggle

Ms. Crayon Aardvark stood at the top floor of Crayon Aardvark Tower, gazing out at Safari Metropolis below. The morning sun painted the city in golden hues as humanoid giraffes, rhinos, and hippos walked alongside humans through the busy streets.

She adjusted her blue mask and gripped her magical giant blue crayon, preparing for another day of keeping the city safe. The tower around her was constructed entirely from colorful crayons—walls of red and yellow, stairs of purple and green, all gleaming in the sunlight.

"Another peaceful morning," she said to herself, walking down the spiral crayon staircase.

But as she reached the art supply room on the fifteenth floor, something strange caught her attention. A box of regular crayons sat on the table, and one of them—a bright orange crayon—seemed to be wiggling.

Ms. Crayon Aardvark blinked her large, expressive eyes. "That's odd."

She leaned closer to investigate. The orange crayon definitely moved again, rolling slightly across the table's surface.

The Colorful Commotion

Suddenly, the orange crayon popped upright and began hopping across the table like a tiny orange kangaroo.

"Well hello there!" squeaked the crayon in a cheerful, high-pitched voice. "I'm Orange! Nice to finally meet you properly!"

Ms. Crayon Aardvark's large eyes widened behind her blue mask. "You can talk?"

"Of course I can talk! We all can!" Orange bounced excitedly. "And we need your help desperately!"

Before Ms. Crayon Aardvark could respond, every crayon in the box suddenly came to life. Red rolled out and stood at attention like a soldier. Green wiggled free and started doing little dances. Purple hummed a tune while Blue drew invisible pictures in the air.

"What's happening?" Ms. Crayon Aardvark asked, gripping her magical giant blue crayon tighter.

"It's terrible!" Orange cried. "Something's gone wrong with the Crayon Factory downtown. All the new crayons being made there are coming out completely gray! They can't color anything! If we don't fix this soon, Safari Metropolis will lose all its beautiful colors forever!"

The other crayons nodded frantically, their waxy surfaces gleaming with worry.
